Clark M Gordon 75 of Reno, Nevada passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at his sister, Patricia Lutz, home in Washoe Valley, Nevada.
He was born January 7, 1942 in Washington D.C. to the late Elizabeth M (Hite) and Francis R Gordon.
Clark lived his childhood and early adulthood in Urbana and Dayton Ohio. He moved to the West Coast in 1977, spending twenty-seven years in San Diego, CA and his last thirteen years in Reno, Nevada.
He was a 1960 graduate of Stebbins High School in Dayton, Ohio. Clark attended Ohio State University and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in History, from Miami University, Oxford Ohio.
His career included working as an analyst for the Foreign Technology Division at Wright Patterson Airforce Base and marketing and representing businesses in San Diego.
Clark was blessed with an exceptional memory that enabled him to answer most questions and expound on any topic with anyone! He also spoke three languages; Russian, Spanish, and French. His quirky wit and sarcastic sense of humor provided laughter to his family. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye football fan who religiously watched Buckeye football on games on T.V. wearing his Ohio State hat and shirt and with an OSU beer mug in his hand.
Clark was a loving son and companion to his elderly mother, Marjorie, during the last years of her life. He helped her plant a garden; traveled with her on Amtrak to Chicago, through the Rockies and to San Diego; took her to all the San Diego Operas; and helped her with her medical care.
One of his favorite activities was hiking in the Sierra Nevada mountains with his sister's Great Dane, Gunther. He loved to state his opinion on a variety of topics to his Twitter pals. Most of all he loved his sister Patricia, (better known as "Baby") and her family.
He is survived by his sister, Patricia Gordon Lutz; brother-in-law, James Lutz; niece, Sonia Lutz Prins and her family: husband, Taco Prins, great niece, Hannah Prins; great nephews, Logan and Maxwell Prins; by his niece, Melanie Lutz Stewart and her family: husband, Mark Stewart; great nephews, Kollin and Chance Stewart.
Tribute to Clark
I thought of you with love today but that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday and days before that too.
I think of you in silence; I often speak your name.
All I have are memories and a picture in a frame. Your memory is my keepsake with which I'll never part.
God has you in His keeping, I have you in my heart.

Services are entrusted to Skillman, McDonald & Vernon Funeral home, Mechanisburg, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.vernonfh.com.
